The recitation follows you

  • Start a surah or a juz and it keeps playing as you move around: check prayer times, take a quiz, browse the 99 Names, all without the recitation stopping
  • One player bar now lives at the bottom of every page and adapts to what's playing: surah controls for Listen, verse controls and bookmark for Ramadan
  • Leaving a page no longer interrupts playback. Close the player yourself whenever you're done

Ramadan audio and reading polish

  • Fixed the Ramadan and juz player staying silent with 8D on. The sound engine now resumes reliably when you press play
  • The Read scroll control now sits on the side that suits your language (right for most, left for Arabic and Urdu) and can be flipped to whichever side you prefer

Better reading and Ramadan controls

  • Read: a floating control jumps you to the top or bottom, or nudges a screen at a time, handy once a tafsir makes the page long
  • Ramadan: the juz player now matches the Listen player, seek within a verse, step between verses, and skip 10 seconds
  • Ramadan: bookmark any verse in a juz and jump back to it any time, saved per juz and synced across devices

Read the Quran

  • New Read section: read any surah at your own pace, no audio required
  • Translation mode: Arabic beside your own translation, verse by verse
  • Mushaf mode: the authentic 604-page layout, continuous, justified text that turns page by page like a printed copy
  • Jump straight to any surah or page, with the juz shown as you read
  • Optional tafsir: choose from 18 classical commentaries in English, Arabic, Urdu and more, or turn commentary off entirely (the default)
  • More translations to read in: additional English (Qarai, Sarwar) and Persian (Makarem Shirazi) renderings, so you can read in the one you prefer
